California law requires your front side windows to allow more than 70% of visible light through, so only a light tint is allowed. Our XPEL XR Ceramic and XR Plus films still provide significant heat rejection at these lighter shades, blocking up to 200 more BTUs of heat than standard film. They can also be applied to your windshield for additional heat protection, where permitted by law.

The difference between the three films is their level of quality. Our entry-level film is a standard film backed by a lifetime warranty and is available in four shades. Our mid-grade line is called HP, and we are the only shop in Bakersfield that carries this product. XPEL comes with a full lifetime warranty against bubbling, peeling, and fading, and is available in the standard shades. Our ceramic film is a high-performance film called Wincos. This film specializes in heat rejection and is offered in a legal tint option for front doors and windshields

Yes, we tint from the inside of the vehicle. Just be sure not to roll your windows down for 2–3 days, and avoid using ammonia-based products when cleaning the interior side of your windows.

Most jobs take 1–5 hours, depending on your vehicle and how many windows you're having done.

Both are signs of low-quality film. Cheap tint is typically dyed, so it can fade to purple in the sun, and its weaker adhesive tends to develop bubbles over time. Quality film is extruded, meaning the color is built into the film, and it uses a stronger adhesive that helps it retain its color and stay smooth. Avoiding ammonia-based cleaners can also help extend the life of the film.
