XPEL Prime XR Automotive Window Film

Our cutting-edge technology makes a great car even better

XPEL is solely dedicated to developing innovative solutions that will protect your vehicle and your passengers. The XPEL PRIME XR line of window films brings advanced technology to your vehicle.

Ceramic Particle Technology

XPEL PRIME XR contains nano-ceramic particles that filter out the sun’s infrared radiation – making it more effective than traditional ceramic, metallized or dyed films.

Superior Heat Rejection

Our nano-ceramic particle technology blocks the vast majority of the sun’s heat-causing infrared radiation – keeping your interior cool and improving fuel efficiency.

UV Ray Protection

XPEL PRIME XR provides SPF 1,000 protection that effectively blocks over 99% of harmful UV rays that damage the interior and can lead to numerous skin cancers, premature aging and skin cell damage.

Greater Clarity

In the past, keeping cool meant darker tint. The nano-ceramic technology in XPEL PRIME XR provides maximum heat rejection even at the lightest shades, so you don’t have to sacrifice night visibility for comfort.

Crystal Clear Signal

Our nano-ceramic particle technology does not interfere with radio, cellular, and Bluetooth signals like traditional metallized films.

Keep it cooler

XPEL PRIME XR not only looks cool – it feels cool. Our films were designed with first-class heat rejection technology to keep you comfortable and protected.

FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it legal to tint your front windows?

Technically it is illegal to tint anything over a 70% “Vlt” visible light transmittance. We now offer two ceramic films XPEL XR Ceramic or XPEL XR Plus. The ceramic film will block out up to 200 more btu’s than your average film. It can also be used on your front windshield for more overall heat protection.

What’s the difference between entry level film, mid-grade film or ceramic film?

The difference between the three films is quality. Our entry level film is a standard film backed with a lifetime warranty. It is offered in all four shades. Our mid grade line is called HP, we are the only shop in Bakersfield that carries this product. XPEL comes with a full lifetime warranty that it will never bubble, peel, or fade, and also comes in the standard shades. The ceramic film is a high performance film and is called wincos. This film specializes in heat rejecting and is offered in a legal tint for front doors and windshields.

Can I get my car washed after tinting?

Yes, we tint from the inside of the vehicles just be sure to not roll them down for 2-3 days and when cleaning the inside of windows stay away from ammonia products.

Do I have to make an appointment?

It is best to make an appointment so that the shop can prioritize your vehicle and can block out time to efficiently tint your vehicle.

How long does it take to tint a car?

Depending upon what kind of car and what your wanting done it can take anywhere from 1-5 hours.

Where are you located?

We are located at 5401 Gasoline Alley Drive. Bakersfield Tint is located in the Bakersfield auto mall right across from Jim Burke Ford and in between California Truck  Accessories and the Haddad Kia lot.

Why does some tint turn purple and bubble?

Then tint turns purple because of it being a cheaply made dyed film rather then being a well made product which is extruded.

Took my Benz to Bakersfield Tint, Dropped the car off with no appointment and I was told it was going to be done at 3pm. I work near by and asked if it could be dropped off and the girl at the front desk worked with me. Great place, Great tint. Can’t beat that.!
